One of my very dearest childhood friends is getting MARRIED!! I have known the bride-to-be, well, since birth (no joke). We’ve shared so many life experiences together…our first sleepovers, family vacations, and in a few weeks I get to witness her walk down the aisle. We recently celebrated her upcoming wedding with her bridal shower. Her MOHs and bridesmaids did a spectacular job with the decor, food and games. It was a memorable time for all. Congratulations to the Future Mrs. C!

With all the craziness of the holidays and Mila’s arrival, we were able to make it out to Bedner’s Farm for over the winter break. I had been dying to go since last winter and it was the perfect weather to do some strawberry pickin’!

First of all let me start off by saying HAPPY NEW YEAR!! I’m so excited for 2012…I have this great feeling it’s going to be super awesome. 
As most of you know, I have been out of commission for the past few months as my family and I welcomed our newest addition, Baby Mila. She arrived right on her due date. She allowed me to enjoy Thanksgiving dinner before deciding it was time to enter this world. Big sis Mady has been a rockstar sister…extremely loving and patient. It’s amazing how things change when you add another kid into the mix, but we are enjoying every moment of it. I’m ready to hit the ground running and excited to get back behind the camera. So who’s ready to be in front of it?

We were long overdue for a session with my little Miss Mady. She will be turning 3 in a few months and going through a lot of changes. In addition to preparing for Big Sister status, she has also started school and is learning to become more independent.
After our session, I was showing Mady her photos, and I asked her, “What are you doing in these pictures, Mady?” She responded, “Not listening to Mommy.” I couldn’t help but laugh. She is my favorite model and yet my most difficult. ♥

I hope everyone had a wonderful (and relatively dry!) 4th of July weekend! Ours was pretty busy with birthdays, sesisons, bbqs, and all types of celebrations to be had. The highlight of our long weekend was the fireworks exhibition at our neighborhood park. Thankfully the weather cooperated and it was an enjoyable breezy night. It was the first time Mady has seen fireworks, other than the ones shown around Cinderella’s castle at the beginning of all her Disney movies.
